Hello, and welcome to Browdering.com. My name is David Browder. I am a physical therapist, private practice owner, author and teacher.

Over the past few years I have had an unbelievable opportunity in my role as a faculty member and now program director for Evidence In Motion’s Executive Program in Private Practice Management. I have been able to spend the past 10 years learning about the owners of over 500 private practices and their businesses. In the process of staying connected with many of our alumni, I came to the conclusion that the topic of leadership and management is just not something that has received enough attention.

I started this page to house some of the courses I have built and will occasionally write here as well. Even if I’m not writing alot of posts, the page will stay active because the back end of the blog hosts files and videos that I link to in many of my courses.

Here are a few things about me:

I am a follower of Christ.
I have a wonderful wife (Alexis) and two amazing boys.
I live in Austin, TX - and it really is as cool as you’ve heard it is.
I have an abundance mentality. That means that I believe there is enough for all of us and that ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’.
I am an optimist at heart.
I have an opinion about almost everything, am likely to share it, and might change it.
I don’t feed the trolls. (This means that if you are mean and nasty I probably won’t publish your comment).
I owe a debt of gratitude to many people, including my mentors: the late Richard Erhard, Larry Benz, Robert Wainner and John Childs.

But what do I do?

I am CEO of Texas Physical Therapy Specialist and a founding partner of Confluent Health.

I am the program director for Evidence in Motion’s Executive Program in Private Practice Management.

I was a distinguished graduate from the US Air Force Academy, class of 1997. (Keep it Revvin’)

I served 11 years as an active duty Physical Therapist.

I deployed to Iraq in 2005. Despite the difficulty of being away from family it was one of the best professional experiences of my career.

I’ve been teaching continuing education courses since 2002.

I’ve got 4 degrees, from three different universities - but thanks to Alexis all my clothes are burnt orange.
